Way More Cost Effective Than Buying Your Own
Rental rates vary by season, length of rental, and by individual listing. Each GoCamp camper van may have a different requirement with regard to minimum rental periods, but all are priced within +/- 10% of the base rates listed below. See individual listings for special event pricing during Memorial Day, Labor Day weekend, etc.
October - April
In the low season expect a 2 night minimum. Our low-season base rate is $150/night for Eurovans and Vanagons, and $185/night for Specialty vans. Prices vary by van so check individual listings.
May - September
In the high season expect a 3-5 night minimum, though some vans do have 1-2 night minimums. Our high-season base rate is $175/night for Eurovans and Vanagons and $240/night for Specialty vans. Prices vary by van so check individual listings.
GoCamp offers a 10% discount off the base rental rate to all military families in honor of our friend Dave Kersey. Please let us know if you are a veteran so we can say thank you.
Payment Schedule and Info
You pay 50% of the total rental fee at the time of booking. You pay the remainder plus the security deposit 30 days before the rental period, or, if booking with less than 30 days to go, at the time of booking.
You will be charged a $1000 security deposit when we collect your final payment. This deposit will be released, less any damages or additional fees (fuel, mileage as noted below) within a week of returning the van.
You can cancel the vehicle for a full refund, less a 5% service fee, up to 30 days prior to the rental. If you cancel with less than 30 days prior to the rental, you will receive a refund for 50% of the rental fee. Cancellations must be made in writing.
We are unable to offer refunds for shortened trips if for some reason (e.g. weather, change in schedule) you return the vehicle early. GoCamp reserves the right to cancel a reservation at our discretion if we feel that the rental would not be safe (e.g. a renter shows up intoxicated, a hurricane is expected along the coast and you are determined to go surfing, etc.). If we cancel the reservation you will receive a full refund.
You are going camping so we're expecting the van will need to be cleaned before its next rental. A cleaning fee ranging from $75 - $150 (varies by vehicle) is assessed for each rental.
125 miles a day is included in the rental fee. Additional miles are charged at .35 per mile. If mileage charges occur, they are deducted from your security deposit.
You'll pay a $200 one-way placeholder fee at the time of booking and be responsible for all costs associated with recovering the vehicle. Costs generally range from $350 - $500 depending on location. Before booking, please be in touch so we can work with you to provide an accurate estimate. Tell us where you'd like to pick up and drop off, a little bit about your party and plans, and your preferred dates.
You are required to purchase our insurance, which provides coverage for $75,000 - $250,000 (depending on the vehicle) in collision and damages and up to $1 million in liability coverage. Insurance charges are based on the length of the rental and vary from 6 - 10% of the base rental rate (excluding any add-ons).
24-HOUR ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE
Most GoCamp vans require you to have 24-hour roadside assistance while traveling. If you have your own AAA PREMIUM policy, for example, you are set. Alternatively, you can purchase the 24-hour roadside assistance policy offered by our partners, Coach-Net, for $15 a day.
Your van will have a full tank of gas when you pick it up. Please make sure to fill it back up before you return it. Alternatively, we’ll refuel for you at $5/gallon.
OVERFLOW TENT $35 AND SLEEPING BAGS $20
Nice if someone is known to snore, when you are bringing extra passengers, or if the kids want to stretch their wings.
EXTRA CHAIRS: $5/per
Vans come with four chairs. Add extras if you have additional passengers.
COLEMAN STOVE, TWO PROPANE TANKS: $45
All Weekender vans include a Coleman stove. Those renting full Campers can add a Coleman stove if they'd like to cook outside the van.
ROOF BOX: $45
Nice if you have lots of stuff.
NATIONAL PARK PASS: $25
Explore Mt. Rainier, Yellowstone, Glacier and a number of other iconic parks.
BOOSTER or CAR SEATS: $35 each
Let us know if you are traveling with children and need either booster or five-point car seats.
BIKE RACK: $45
Bike racks usually hold up to 4 bikes. (Local renters may use their own bike rack. Vans typically accommodate 2 by 2 hitches.)
PORTABLE SHELTER: $35
10 x 10 shelter shades the sun and provides rain protection.
AIRPORT PICK UP and DROP OFF: TBD
Several van owners will happily pick you up or drop you off at the airport. Inquire when you make your reservation.
PET FEE: $125
Some vans allow pets; check individual listings.
GOAL ZERO BATTERY CHARGER: $50
Extra juice for powering your electrical devices. Especially good for CPAP machines.
