Bandit is a 2020 Mercedes-Benz Revel…the kind of van other camper vans dream of being one day.

Bandit boasts all the bells and whistles including adaptive cruise control, lane assist, cross wind assist, rear camera, 360 sensors and much more. He is very comfortable and easy to drive. With its compact design, you have all the necessities including stove, sink, fridge, shower, toilet.

This is an adventure van, built for 4 seasons adventure travel. With solar power and several auxiliary batteries, Bandit can venture off grid for a very long time. This is especially important because – lucky you – the 4×4 with higher clearance allows access to some very remote areas. You’re going to be communing with nature in no time with Bandit by your side.

A couple of key highlights:

Modern Kitchen
The kitchen includes a flameless induction cooktop, stainless steel sink and a refrigerator that actually stays cold! Side panels flip up for extra counter space both inside and outside the van so you can move the party out of the kitchen. There is even a pantry for food storage.

Toilet and Shower
The toilet actually swivels so that you can access it more comfortably and the shower has hot water. Don’t want to use these features? No problem. You can turn the toilet/shower closet into an actual closet with hangers and shelves to store your clothes or gear.
A/C, Exterior Shower and other Conveniences
Rinse off after a day of adventuring with the exterior shower. It has hot and cold water. Is it a super hot day? Plug in at the campsite and turn on the A/C. Would you rather sleep with the sliding doors open? Use the snap-in screens to let the breeze in while keeping the bugs out. Every little modern convenience is included in this van.

Heat for Chilly Nights
There is no on-board propane, instead the heat is diesel powered and will keep you cozy all night long even in the chilliest of climates.

Off-Grid Capable
There is a 200-watt solar system to keep everything powered and running smoothly. With a diesel heat system, a battery array and an AC/DC inverter, you’ll have plenty of power for camping off the grid. You’ve also got 21 gallons of fresh water storage.

Smart Awning
The awning extends with a push of a button and has built-in LED lights for lighting up the campsite at night. No more stringing up twinkle lights or trying to find batteries for your lanterns. And the awning is smart! If the wind picks up it automatically retracts! How cool is that?

Sleep in Comfort
Rear flares around the bed give you extra space and make for a great night’s sleep. This feature was built with people over 6 foot in mind as it really expands the room in the bed. The bench seat converts into a small bed for one.

Tons of Storage
The “garage” in the back of the van provides ample storage (140 cubic feet) for your gear, bikes, skis, climbing equipment, etc. Not enough room for something tall or bulky? Push a button and the queen sized, super comfy bed will lift to the ceiling for even more room.

Hop in and Go

All vans are considered “road trip ready.” Whether you are flying in from out of town or looking to explore your own backyard, all you really need to do is stop for groceries before hitting the road. All cookware and tableware is included, as is bedding and a wide array of camping gear. You’ll be sent a detailed list of all the items included in the van before your trip so you can plan accordingly. Select any of the optional add-ons listed below when completing your reservation.

Pick Up and Drop Off

Rentals are Calculated on a 24-hour Basis: The rental period is generally considered to be 24 hours. If you pick up the van at 10 am, you’ll be expected to return it around 10 am. Most van owners can accommodate requests for a few extra hours at $20/hour. Alternatively, if you want to pick up in the morning and drop off in the evening, simply select the optional half day add-on when completing your reservation.

Pick Up and Drop Off Time: There is no set pick up and drop off time. You’ll make arrangements suited to your needs and schedule with the van’s owner. You can indicate your preferred pick up and drop off time when completing your reservation; final arrangements will be confirmed with the van’s owner.

Location

Insurance

Insurance coverage includes $1 million in liability to the renter, $1 million in liability to the van owner, and comp and collision coverage up to $200,000. For most rentals, coverage costs $37.50/day. For our premium vans, coverage costs $47.50/day. In both instances, insurance is required as part of the rental.

Roadside Assistance

We make 24-hour roadside assistance available for $15 a day. Coverage includes unlimited: towing, flat tire assistance, emergency fluids delivery, battery boost, and a mobile mechanic. Many van owners require 24-hour roadside assistance as part of the rental. Where coverage is mandatory, you must either purchase our policy, or show proof of comparable coverage, including 1) RV towing and 2) towing distance of 100+ miles.

Mileage

125 miles per day is included in every rental. Additional miles are charged 35 - 50 cents per mile depending on the vehicle. For example, on a four-night rental, you will have 500 free miles. If you traveled 600 miles, at 35 cents a mile you would pay an additional $35 at the end of your trip.

Security Deposit

You’ll pay a security deposit of $1,000 - $1500 (vehicle dependent) two days before your rental starts. The security deposit is returned, less any additional fees, usually no more than 7 days after you return.

  • Cancellation Policy

    You can reschedule your reservation without penalty. You can cancel the vehicle for a full refund, less a 5% service fee, up to 14 days prior to the rental. If you cancel less than 14 days prior to the rental, you will receive a refund for 50% of the rental fee. Cancellations must be made in writing.

    We are unable to offer refunds for shortened trips if for some reason (e.g. weather, change in schedule) you return the vehicle early. See also our COVID-19 policies.
