If you’ve been wanting to try out vanlife, Filbert will scratch that itch. Filbert is a custom-built Ford Transit camper van conversion by Grit Overland ready to take you on your next adventure. This van will quite literally be your home away from home so you can take comfort along with you while you roam!
Filbert is perfectly built to accommodate up to four passengers thanks to the “stowaway” bench seat that folds up and out of the way when not in use. This van comfortably sleeps two people in the queen-size main bed. Need to fit two more?* An air mattress in the front cab and a sleeping mat on the floor provide more room. Both front seats swivel to open up the living space and a fold-down table creates a dining or remote work area. There’s also plenty of space to stash your stuff in the “gear garage” under the bed or in the overhead cabinets.
Filbert’s kitchen includes the following amenities:

There are a few other on-board perks to enjoy, as well: Firstly, with the help of the robust power system and option to plug into shore power you’ll be good to go, go, go. Dimmable LED lighting and outlets are placed throughout the van. Secondly, Filbert is outfitted with a portable cassette toilet that can be moved outside if desired. And lastly, there’s a water heater on board so you’ll have hot water available for washing dishes or rinsing off using the interior or exterior showers.
This all-season van is ready for anything with a built-in heater, insulated black-out window coverings, and all-wheel drive capabilities. And if it gets too hot, the dynamic duo of an air conditioner and a ceiling fan allow you to cool off and promote good air flow. To sum up, this custom-built Ford Transit camper van is an adventurer’s dream come true.

All vans are considered “road trip ready.” Whether you are flying in from out of town or looking to explore your own backyard, all you really need to do is stop for groceries before hitting the road. All cookware and tableware is included, as is bedding and a wide array of camping gear. Pick Up and Drop Off
Rentals are Calculated on a 24-hour Basis: The rental period is generally considered to be 24 hours. If you pick up the van at 10 am, you’ll be expected to return it around 10 am. Most van owners can accommodate requests for a few extra hours at $20/hour. Alternatively, if you want to pick up in the morning and drop off in the evening, simply select the optional half day add-on when completing your reservation.
Pick Up and Drop Off Time: There is no set pick up and drop off time. You’ll make arrangements suited to your needs and schedule with the van’s owner. You can indicate your preferred pick up and drop off time when completing your reservation; final arrangements will be confirmed with the van’s owner.

Cancellation Policy
Standard cancellation policy: You can reschedule your trip one time in the same van with no penalty up to 48 hours prior to the rental. Requests to reschedule a trip a second time will incur a 5% rescheduling fee. You can cancel your reservation for a full refund, less a 5% service fee, up to 14 days prior to the rental. If you cancel less than 14 days prior to the rental, you will receive a refund for 50% of the rental fee. Cancellations must be made in writing. We are unable to offer refunds for shortened trips if for some reason (e.g. weather, change in schedule) you return the vehicle early. If we cancel the reservation you will receive a full refund.
One-way trip cancellation policy: One-way trips cannot be rescheduled. You can cancel your reservation for a full refund, less a 5% service fee, up to 30 days prior to the rental. If you cancel 15 – 29 days prior to the rental, you will forfeit 100% of the one-way fee and receive a full refund on the remaining reservation line items, less a 5% service fee. If you cancel less than 14 days prior to the rental, you will forfeit 100% of the one-way fee and receive a refund for 50% of the remaining rental fees. Cancellations must be made in writing.
