If you’re a little wary about driving an RV, fear not! Hobart’s compact size, at just 17 feet in length, makes this van super easy to maneuver and park — just about anywhere your wanderlust takes you. Hobart’s systems are in tip top shape, it’s one of the most reliable vintage vans around.

Volkswagen really knew what they were doing when they designed the Eurovan Camper. It may be small on the outside, but inside, it’s packed with all you need: kitchen sink, stove and refrigerator. Cookware and tableware are included, too.

Hobart is a great all-season camper van. In the colder months, you’ll rely on snow tires and insulated window coverings. There’s even a built-in, propane-powered heater. Cozy!

Bedding down in Hobart is a dream. The back bench seat folds down into a bed for two, and the pop top converts to a second bed for two.

Hobart is the perfect family van, as the seat belts in the back have been upgraded to 3-point belts for added safety.

All vans are considered “road trip ready.” Whether you are flying in from out of town or looking to explore your own backyard, all you really need to do is stop for groceries before hitting the road. All cookware and tableware is included, as is bedding and a wide array of camping gear. Book Your Trip

Pick Up and Drop Off

Rentals are Calculated on a 24-hour Basis: The rental period is generally considered to be 24 hours. If you pick up the van at 10 am, you’ll be expected to return it around 10 am. Most van owners can accommodate requests for a few extra hours at $20/hour. Alternatively, if you want to pick up in the morning and drop off in the evening, simply select the optional half day add-on when completing your reservation.

Pick Up and Drop Off Time: There is no set pick up and drop off time. You’ll make arrangements suited to your needs and schedule with the van’s owner. You can indicate your preferred pick up and drop off time when completing your reservation; final arrangements will be confirmed with the van’s owner.

Location

Insurance

Insurance coverage includes $1 million in liability to the renter, $1 million in liability to the van owner, and comp and collision coverage up to $200,000. For most rentals, coverage costs $37.50/day. For our premium vans, coverage costs $47.50/day. In both instances, insurance is required as part of the rental.

Roadside Assistance

We make 24-hour roadside assistance available for $15 a day. Coverage includes unlimited: towing, flat tire assistance, emergency fluids delivery, battery boost, and a mobile mechanic. Many van owners require 24-hour roadside assistance as part of the rental. Where coverage is mandatory, you must either purchase our policy, or show proof of comparable coverage, including 1) RV towing and 2) towing distance of 100+ miles.

Mileage

125 miles per day is included in every rental. Additional miles are charged 35 - 50 cents per mile depending on the vehicle. For example, on a four-night rental, you will have 500 free miles. If you traveled 600 miles, at 35 cents a mile you would pay an additional $35 at the end of your trip.

Security Deposit

You’ll pay a security deposit of $1,000 - $1500 (vehicle dependent) two days before your rental starts. The security deposit is returned, less any additional fees, usually no more than 7 days after you return.

  • Cancellation Policy

    You can reschedule your reservation without penalty. You can cancel the vehicle for a full refund, less a 5% service fee, up to 14 days prior to the rental. If you cancel less than 14 days prior to the rental, you will receive a refund for 50% of the rental fee. Cancellations must be made in writing.

    We are unable to offer refunds for shortened trips if for some reason (e.g. weather, change in schedule) you return the vehicle early. See also our COVID-19 policies.
