All the charms of Portland in a Camper Van
A 1997 Eurovan Camper, Portvandia is the perfect choice for exploring the Pacific Northwest. This nimble van is a delight to drive, and with its relatively small foot print it is easy to park. You definitely don’t need to sign up for the RV camping spots with this beauty.
Portvandia seats and sleeps four, with two in the bunk bed down below and two up above in the pop top. Kids absolutely love sleeping in the pop top; it’s like a tree fort!
The kitchen in Portvandia has been outfitted for maximum efficiency. Please note the fridge (seen in some of the above photos) has been removed to maximize storage space. Instead there is a YETI cooler that will keep your perishables cold for days, along with a small sink and a two-burner propane powered stove. Propane also powers the furnace for cold weather camping.
The two front seats swivel to face the rear of the van so that the family can gather inside for a game of cards. Alternatively, lounge about outside the van; Portvandia comes with camp chairs and many camping accessories so that you can enjoy the great outdoors. Past renters have said, “There’s nothing the owner hasn’t already thought of.”
Indeed Portvandia’s owner, Steve, missed his calling as a tour guide. He is uniquely focused on making sure your trip is fantastic; he will help you plan a great itinerary. And finally, note that Portvandia comes with an optional traveling companion! Over the years dozens of renters have elected to bring along Doris, Steve’s plastic pink flamingo. Your task is to take a photo of Doris out in the world, and send the photo back to Steve. Kids and adults alike LOVE this quirky tradition; we hope you’ll join in the fun.
Just like the city of Portland; Portvandia has tons of character!
