Wild Child: Ford Transit 350

Ford - Transit 350
Medford, OR
Check Availability $220.00 per night

Explore your wild side and go 100% off grid in this Ford Transit 350 equipped with solar panels to power the van’s systems. It’s got everything you need for your camping adventure — including a kitchen sink — and a Bluetooth speaker so you can jam out with some good tunes.

You’ll prepare scrumptious meals on the one-burner cook stove and the nifty three-in-one electric breakfast station (coffee maker, griddle, toaster oven). Keep your food fresh in the refrigerator / freezer (with ice trays!). There’s also a propane burner — works great for heating the French press and tea kettle — in case you want to save some of the solar power. The sink has two removable fresh water containers, so you don’t run out of H20 on the back country roads. Finally, there’s a pull-out cooking area in the garage, so that major cooking can be done outdoors (and not stink up the inside of the van!)

Clean up with hot water with the outdoor propane shower, equipped with a pump and filter so you can source water from almost anywhere. Yes, there’s a shower curtain for privacy, too.

When night falls, you can light up your living space with LED lights attached to the solar, some battery-operated lanterns, and battery-operated touch lights throughout. Pull the privacy curtains/shades and snuggle into the bed for two (52″ x 65″). Movie lovers can watch their favorite flicks on the mountaintop with our projector / screen, connected to your mobile device (or request our old iPhone loaded with great films). See optional add-ons below.

Pick up the van in Grants Pass, Oregon, about 30 minutes west of Medford International Airport. Delivery to the Medford area on request; see optional add-ons below.

Your Information

Pick Up and Drop Off

Rentals are Calculated on a 24-hour Basis: The rental period is generally considered to be 24 hours. If you pick up the van at 10 am, you’ll be expected to return it around 10 am. Most van owners can accommodate requests for a few extra hours at $20/hour. Alternatively, if you want to pick up in the morning and drop off in the evening, simply select the optional half day add-on when completing your reservation.

Pick Up and Drop Off Time: There is no set pick up and drop off time. You’ll make arrangements suited to your needs and schedule with the van’s owner. You can indicate your preferred pick up and drop off time when completing your reservation; final arrangements will be confirmed with the van’s owner.

Insurance coverage includes $1 million in liability to the renter, $1 million in liability to the van owner, and comp and collision coverage up to $200,000. For most rentals, coverage costs $37.50/day. For our premium vans, coverage costs $47.50/day. In both instances, insurance is required as part of the rental.

Roadside Assistance

We make 24-hour roadside assistance available for $15 a day. Coverage includes: towing, flat tire assistance, emergency fluids delivery, battery boost, and a mobile mechanic. Many van owners require 24-hour roadside assistance as part of the rental. Where coverage is mandatory, you must either purchase our policy, or show proof of comparable coverage, including 1) RV towing and 2) towing distance of 100+ miles.

125 miles per day is included in every rental. Additional miles are charged 35 - 50 cents per mile depending on the vehicle. For example, on a four-night rental, you will have 500 free miles. If you traveled 600 miles, at 35 cents a mile you would pay an additional $35 at the end of your trip.

Security Deposit

You’ll pay a security deposit of $1,000 - $1500 (vehicle dependent) two days before your rental starts. The security deposit is returned, less any additional fees, usually no more than 7 days after you return.
